We are honored and excited to share that the Los Angeles Business Journal named HopSkipDrive as the 2020 honoree for the [**Innovator of the Year Award**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HC09n8EDBo&feature=youtu.be). We are also excited to be ranked number 11 on their [LA Fast 100 list](https://labusinessjournal.com/disruptorawards/) – a list of the fastest growing private companies in L.A.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the L.A. Business Journal for recognizing HopSkipDrive, and we congratulate the incredible companies on the LA Fast 100 list and the Disruptor Award finalists.

Receiving the Innovator of the Year Award means a lot to the entire company. Safety is our number one priority and has been since the very first ride – it’s why we hold ourselves to industry-leading standards and why we’re driven to continuously innovate. Whether it is our advanced technology platform, Safe Ride Support technology, our [Safety Advisory Board](/safety/), or implementing first-in-market COVID-Safe Ride Standards, innovation helps move us forward.

Each year the L.A. Business Journal publishes the LA Fast 100, one of their most popular lists among their readers. The criteria for the Fast 100 has traditionally been based on revenue growth only. This year they decided to look behind the numbers, and look at companies, what they’re doing and what makes them so successful. The team evaluated each company’s revenue, culture, leadership, and overall success. In the process of doing so, the L.A. Business Journal created 6 categories of Disruptor Awards, including Innovator, Social Responsibility, RSM Middle Market, Sustainability, Accelerator, and Disruptor awards. Companies were recognized in each category on Wednesday, November 4th, and L.A. Business Journal published the complete list of award recipients and Fast 100 companies today.
