CarePartner FAQs
To qualify for access to the HopSkipDrive platform, prospective CarePartners must meet the following requirements:
Valid vehicle registration, insurance, and inspections for all fleet vehicles.
Drivers must possess:
A valid driver's license.
A minimum age of 23 years.
A good driving record.
Three or more years of driving experience.
Own or operate fleet vehicles that are no more than 13 years old.*
*In Washington, D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, Minneapolis, and Seattle, vehicles must be no more than 10 years old.

By partnering with us, you get the flexibility of accepting rides that fit your team’s needs. This includes regularly scheduled Monday through Friday trips throughout the school year, ensuring a predictable revenue stream.
HopSkipDrive specializes in students who experience homelessness, disabilities, special needs, and more. You would be actively contributing in getting these vulnerable groups to school consistently.
Yes, we provide training for your team & drivers on the HopSkipDrive platform and services. You will have access to a series of trainings that cover ride scheduling, app usage, information about our rider population and more.
We are committed to safety and ensuring our CarePartners are well-prepared. Our robust process includes thorough background checks and fingerprinting for drivers. Additionally, we provide specialized resources, such as educational materials on trauma-informed care, to equip drivers to best support the unique needs of the student population we serve.
