Improved Advanced Qualification management

With this update, we've made it easier to see all Advanced Qualifications available for CareDrivers in your area so you can easily select the Advanced Qualifications that are the best fit for you. Review the Advanced Qualifications you've already claimed and see the requirements for obtaining additional Advanced Qualifications in the Advanced Qualifications section of your profile.

Recognizing your dedication with the new CareDriver Rewards program

We are introducing a new CareDriver Rewards program to recognize your dedication to safety and driving excellence on the HopSkipDrive platform. The CareDriver Rewards program consists of three tiers: Standard, Gold, and Elite. All CareDrivers start at the Standard level and HopSkipDrive is introducing brand-new perks at the Gold and Elite levels. You’ll earn points throughout a three-month period, which will determine your individual reward level at the end of the cycle.

Include apartment and suite numbers in main address information

Previously, information like apartment and suite numbers was included in rider or location notes. With this update, you'll see that information displayed as part of the main address to help you find the right location quickly and accurately.

You can now upload your updated documents directly in the CareDriver app, simplifying and streamlining the process for you. We've also enhanced our review process with a new and improved document review dashboard to speed up review and approval times.

Safety is everything at HopSkipDrive! To support you in being the safest driver you can be, we are now sharing driving and safety data in the CareDriver app. CareDriver Trends is a weekly report that breaks down key safety data to support you in driving safely.

This data is for informational purposes only and CareDriver Trends will not directly affect your eligibility to drive on the HopSkipDrive platform. We encourage you to review your CareDriver Trends regularly to celebrate your successes and identify areas where you may be able to improve. Key benefits include:

  • Clear visuals showing overall patterns in your driving behavior at a glance

  • Specific data breakdowns, including information about which individual trips may have impacted your rating

  • Easy to find data always available in the app for your reference

Better information about route changes

When one or more riders is absent from a multi-rider ride, this can impact the route. Riders may be removed just before or even during a ride, which can cause confusion and wasted trips. To ensure CareDrivers have the most up-to-date route information, we've added SMS updates and in-app notifications to alert you when a route is changed.

As of October 23rd, you will receive a text alert when a rider is removed from a ride you've claimed, and an additional text with updated ride details if the removal changes any of the times for the ride. If the route changes while you're driving, you'll see a message in the app and navigation will stop. When safe to do so, please pull over and tap See changes to view the new route and restart navigation.

New leave time reminder for unfamiliar locations

All the details of picking up or dropping off a rider at a place you haven't been before can be complex. Sometimes it takes a little extra time to navigate pickup procedures or find addresses you're not familiar with. To continue to support CareDrivers in arriving on time, we suggest leaving a few minutes early when you're driving to a location you haven't been before. With this update, you'll see a message in the CareDriver app letting you know when you're driving to a location you may be unfamiliar with and suggesting that you leave a little earlier.

Reducing accidental early arrivals with changes to "I've arrived" button

We received feedback that it was easy to accidentally tap I've arrived before actually reaching the destination. This could cause difficulty navigating to the correct location and confuse riders and caregivers who received notifications before the CareDriver actually arrived. To resolve this issue, the I've arrived button will be hidden until you are close to the next stop. If there are connection issues making it difficult to accurately track your location, the button will appear based on the earliest possible time you could arrive at the next stop.

The Waybill: Digital ID is a new and improved way to confirm your identity at pickup. This section of the app displays key information about the CareDriver and their current ride. If requested, open the Waybill from the side menu in the app.

More Support When Dropping Off Riders Who Must Be Met

Some Riders have a Must Be Met at Drop-Off requirement, meaning they must always be left with an adult. To make this process clearer, we've added additional information in the app and added the ability to chat directly with our Safe Ride Support team if you have questions.

More Visible Rider Notes and Tags

Rider Notes and Location instructions are a vital part of smooth, safe pickups and drop-offs. With this release we've made them more prominent at each stage of the process, including highlighting important safety information with the Must Be Met at Drop-Off tag and Booster Seat tag in more eye-catching colors.

Clearer Process for Reporting a Rider No-Show

CareDrivers care about the safety of their Riders, so when a Rider isn't at the pickup location they want to make sure they do everything possible to make sure the Rider is OK.

With this release, we've made it easier to find and follow HopSkipDrive's in-app process for this situation. At pickup, tap I Can't Find Rider and the app will guide you through the necessary steps to look for the Rider, alert the appropriate people if you can't find them, or report that the ride isn't needed.

More Detailed Earnings Information

We know it's important for CareDrivers to understand exactly what they're earning and why. To make payment more transparent, we've added more detail to the fare summary you see at the end of every ride.

You'll also see more detail on the Trip History page. Tap to see your total earnings for a week broken down by ride, including additional payments like promotions and toll reimbursements. Tap a specific ride to see trip details, including miles and minutes driven.
